How do dental sealants work?

• First we clean and sterilize the tooth or teeth (usually a set of molars is done at the same time).

• Then we apply a thin plastic coating that is white or clear, so it’s almost invisible.

• With the application of a curing light, the sealant is bonded into place.

• From beginning to end, the procedure takes just a few minutes.

• With no shots, drills, or changes to the structure of the tooth, it’s totally painless!
